ESCOV-

Objective: A more sustainable use of resources in terms of the diagnosis and management of emerging zoonotic diseases, reducing them substantially while increasing the cost effectiveness of extensive livestock, hunting and hunting farms.

Evolution: It has been possible to apply efficient and cheaper methods that reduce potential losses (number of slaughtered animals, movement restrictions,..) in livestock and hunting farms. By having a better diagnosis, as well as faster, it is achieved that, those farms based on the territory such as hunting farms (where native game species are raised with health guarantee), hunting farms (that manage territories of the natural environment ) and extensive livestock, are more sustainable. In addition, the improvement of the health status of the animals that this project contributes has an impact on a safer food chain.

This project has been supported with financial aid from the government of Castilla La Mancha and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
