EMDIAR, Isabel Mínguez Tudela Award for Innovation in Animal Health 2016

The Isabel Mínguez Tudela Award for Innovation in Animal Health 2016 promoted by Vet + i, in its fifth edition, has been declared.

The author of this work has been Ramón A. Juste Jordán, who presented this research work carried out at NEIKER-Tecnalia, and his team from the Basque Institute for Agricultural Research and Development (NEIKER), with the collaboration of the Veterinary Health Surveillance Center (VISAVET) of the University Complutense of Madrid (UCM) and the Health and Biotechnology Group (SaBio group,) research group integrated into the IREC Hunting Resources Research Institute (CSIC-UCLM-JCCM).

During the evaluation, criteria such as the degree of orientation towards the development of products, methods or services that allow solutions to market demands, public-private collaboration in obtaining the results, its effective transfer and its exploitation by private entities, the potential for internationalization of the result and the opening of markets abroad, as well as the participation of young researchers under 35 years of age by private entities.

The Management Council expressed its congratulations to the winners and thanked all the Public Research Bodies and University Research Groups that have participated in this initiative, highlighting the excellent quality of the papers presented.

The award will be awarded within the framework of the VIII Annual Conference of the Vet + i Platform, which will take place June first in Madrid.
